When should kittens be vaccinated?

The timeline for when your cat should be vaccinated is dependent on whether they are an indoor or outdoor pet. If your kitten has a special condition or illness their vaccinations timeline may also look different. The following vaccinations timeline is generally used for indoor and outdoor kittens.

6- to 10-weeks-old: FVRCP- Panleukopenia, Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus

11- to 14-weeks-old: FVRCP, Feline Leukemia (for outdoor cats)

16 weeks and older: FVCRP, Feline Leukemia and Rabies

When should my adult cat be vaccinated?

Once the kitten round of vaccinations is complete, an adult cat should get their first shot after a year. Your cat should receive one shot every year or one shot every three years depending on the vaccines prescribed by their veterinarian.

What should I expect when my cat or kitten is vaccinated?

Most kittens or cats do not show any sign of discomfort after receiving their vaccinations. Some pets may have fever, hives, diarrhea, soreness where they received their shot. These side effects usually go away within a day or two. If your pet experiences any side effects for longer than two days you should contact our team.
